”Hello,
my name is Duncan Warner and I started Nature Base in 2017.

At that stage I had just completed a degree in Outdoor Learning. This course helped me to realise the importance of creating opportunities for other people to learn more about the natural world in a way that was enjoyable and personal to them.

My daughter was five at the time and it became apparent just how much she and her friends could learn and develop mentally, physically and socially simply by being given time to play outside in a child-centered, creative way.

My experience of working as an outdoor activity provider since 2005 meant I was in a good position to setup and operate a business like Nature Base.

In running Nature Base I am very lucky to have a job that I really enjoy. It is a role that is extremely rewarding and I benefit from continuing to learn from both the children taking part and the excellent people that work alongside with me.

When I'm not running Nature Base I'm usually running a kayaking tour for the other side to my business, Give It a Go.
