After-school Adventures – new term starting 10th April

This term our after-school adventures will happen on Wednesdays from 3.30pm – 5.30pm.

During these afternoons we will visit different areas of woodland as well as sections of sheltered coastline.

Spring will be well and truly underway and we will be on the lookout for all the signs of the natural world making the most of milder weather and taking in the sunlight (a bit like us!).

What are Nature Base after-school adventures?

Our after-school adventures give children the chance to learn about the natural world around us by taking part in fun games and activities.

The range of activities have been designed for children attending primary school from first to sixth class.

A big part of the Nature Base experience is giving children the chance to be creative and use their imagination in a fun, safe and supportive environment.

Group sizes are limited to a maximum of twelve places with two leaders present at all times.

Where is it held?

Nature Base is held entirely outdoors. We choose activities that make the most of the weather and help to highlight the seasonal changes occurring  throughout the year.

We visit particular parts of the woodland or shoreline that reflect these changes in the natural world around us.

We start and finish at Lough Rusheen Park which is located behind the Texaco garage on the opposite side of the road to Barna woods.

From here we can explore different habitats including Barna woods and Rusheen Bay.

Booking is now open and places are limited.

Taking place on Wednesdays, starting on 17th January and running until 20th March.
